Scouts Canada Camp Cataraqui
Camp Information
The Camp is surrounded by Clear Creek Provincial Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is home to very rare nesting warblers and is an old growth Carolinian forest. The camp is home to one the oldest oak tree in Canada.
McGeachy Longhouse Is the main lodge and it sleeps 27 on the floor. It has a full Kitchen, dining hall and washrooms with showers. The whole lodge has been renovated to be handicap accessible.
Halfway Inn ? Is 1 of 3 bunkhouses. It sleeps up to 15. It has a wood stove and covered porch.
Raksha Den & Cataraqui Hilton ? These bunkhouses sleeps 8 on bunks and they have electric heat and are located across from the main lodge. The Raksha Den was moved from Snake Island to its current location.
Tent Sites There are 17 sites. Each site is surrounded by woods and has a fire pit, and picnic tables
Carswell Field - This is the main field with a flag pole. It is the home to many activities such as fooseball and gaga ball. It is often used as a sports field.
Lowrie Chapel - To enjoy the beauty of the camp the chaple was constructed with no walls. It has a roof, benches, and an altar.
Toboggan hill Is located behind McGeachy Long house. Helmets are required.
Centennial Hill - Large group Site (15)
Geocaching - The camp now has several geocaching sites.
